Kids and Conflict Parent's Seminar How to Understand & Teach Children Appropriate Responses to Conflict Inside and Outside the Family This half-day seminar is for parents and other people who work with children and teenagers. Many of these seminars are held in conjunction with a children's book signing and dialogue with John about his children's book I Could If I Wanted To!. In the Kids and Conflict Seminar you will learn how to: Identify the 5 basic responses to conflict‹when they are appropriate and when they should be avoided. Improve communication between you and your child and/or teenager by learning how to avoid  contradictory messages. Model effective communication skills for your child. Help your child practice effective communication strategies. Dialogue with your child about difficult people and situations in their lives.
